Aspen

From its days as a Ute hunting camp to its current renown as a ski resort, Aspen has always drawn from the majesty of the surrounding Elk Mountains to fuel its abundance of culture and outdoor activities.

Its history is colored by a silver mining boom in the 1870s, which dwindled down into a small ranching community until the cultural renaissance that came with its transition to a ski resort.

Today Aspen thrives in a beautiful natural environment, great skiing and hiking, delicious food, and welcoming people, making it a Colorado mountain experience that is unique and unforgettable.
